A Cozy Corner in Florence

字幕
My favorite place in Florence is Caffè Verdi, located in a quiet neighborhood near the Arno River. This area still carries the charm of old Italy, with small bakeries, family-owned restaurants, and narrow cobblestone streets. Years ago, many famous painters lived nearby, giving the neighborhood a creative spirit. Caffè Verdi is named after the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. The owner, Signor Rossi, is a cheerful man who loves classical music. He often plays Verdi’s operas in the background and spends his afternoons talking with his friends at a corner table. Their lively Italian conversations mix perfectly with the music, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I go there often. I usually order a cappuccino, sit by the window, and write stories for my students. Sometimes I review my French lessons. Sometimes I read a novel. Sometimes I simply watch people passing by. The staff never seems to rush me—they always greet me with a smile. When the sun is out, I sit at the outdoor tables. In winter, I stay inside, enjoying the rich aroma of fresh coffee. If you ever visit Florence, stop by Caffè Verdi near Ponte alle Grazie. Bring a good book, sip your coffee, listen to the opera, and stay as long as you like. No one will hurry you.
