Listening

Anna had just come home after a long day at work. She dropped her bag on the sofa and walked into the kitchen, where her brother Ben was scrolling through his phone. Anna sighed, 'I'm starving. What should we cook tonight?' Ben looked up and said, 'I was thinking maybe pasta with tomato sauce. Do you want to cook together?' Anna smiled, 'Sounds good, but we don't have fresh tomatoes.' Ben replied, 'No problem, we can use the canned ones in the pantry. Do you want me to chop the garlic while you boil the pasta?' Anna nodded, 'Perfect! And maybe we can add some cheese on top.' While cooking, they chatted about their day and laughed when Ben almost dropped the garlic into the sink. In less than thirty minutes, dinner was ready, filling the kitchen with a delicious aroma. They sat down and Anna said, 'This is the best part of the day—good food and good company.'
